Rinku Shrivastava, MD

Dr. Rinku Shrivastava is American board certified family practitioner and NAWCO wound care certified. She graduated from UCSF (Fresno) in 2010. She served peninsula for a year before she moved to Castro Valley area. She bought practice of Kenneth Rothman in  2015.  Dr. Shrivastava has experience of working with all ages serving diverse patient population of varied  medical needs. She  has outpatient privileges at Eden Medical Center, Castro Valley, CA. 
Coming from a family of doctors with five physicians & surgeons in her own family, she has always been passionate about medicine since her childhood. She completed her bachelors from a pioneer institute of India. She has extensive medical research background and spent four years in multiple research projects at Stanford University, VA Palo Alto and Alameda County Medical Center, Oakland prior to starting her residency in 2007. She represented her residency  program at STFM  International  Conference 2009, held at Vancouver for research work in Diabetes.  
Dr. Shrivastava has strong clinical interest in chronic disease management with special focus on Diabetes including insulin management, hypertension and asthma/COPD. She is proficient in office based procedures like ingrown toe nail removal and joint injections. 
Outside of work, Dr. Shrivastava enjoys cooking, spending time outdoor with family, singing and playing chess.
